Weekly Workout {Week 2 & 3}

Winter is seriously messing with my ability to make it to CrossFit. Between wind and snow and ice, it's been frustrating to say the least. In the last 2 weeks I only made it to 4 session. But they were all really good sessions, so that's a plus.

During one of the classes, I managed to get a new PR on my deadlift. I totally wasn't expecting it to happen because my back was kind of hating me and I just generally felt "off", but was totally happy about lifting 255lbs. The coolest thing about that session though was watching my lifting partner hit her new PR of 300lbs. Sometimes the best successes aren't your own, but watching someone else achieve their own goal.

I've also started working yoga back into my routine. It doesn't seem to matter how much I try and stretch, sometimes it just isn't enough. So when they started offering yoga at the Box, I was pretty excited to sign up. The class is taught by one of the members who also teaches at the local fancy-shmancy yoga studio. And even after only a couple of sessions, my recovery time from hard workouts has decreased and some of the nagging aches and pains are going away.
