Weekly Workouts {Week 6}

This week I did something outside of my comfort zone.

I attended a CrossFit session by myself on Wednesday.

Generally this shouldn't be that big of a deal. But when I say "I attended a CrossFit session by myself," I literally mean I was by myself. Just me and the coaches, Trevor and Dempsey.

It actually turned out to be a really fun session.

Front squats were on the menu for strength that day and I KILLED IT.

We spent much of the time working on figuring out my 1 rep max. I was a bit worried I wouldn't be able to do them at all because of the hip and knee issues I've been having. Thankfully, my time with the chiropractor has paid off! With each round, Trevor kept adding more and more weight and each time, I thought for sure I wouldn't be able to do it. But I did! I finally had to drop the weight at 110lbs. making my 1 rep max 105lbs. I was pretty impressed with myself.

Afterwards, I did 5 sets of 5 at 65%, which was 65lbs. They were some of the best squats I have done since I started doing Cross Fit. I loved every second of it.

I did not, however, love the WOD that day.

In theory, it should have been easy:
2 minutes of push ups + 1 minute rest + 2 minutes of sit-ups

Easy peasy. Until you had to do it! BUT, I managed to eek out 20 push ups and 38 sit ups. I was tough but was also one of those workouts that was TOTALLY worth at the end.

Monday: Off
Tuesday: CrossFit
Wednesday: CrossFit
Thursday: 1.2 mile walk with Bandit
Friday: Off
Saturday: 1.5 mile walk with Bandit + HIIT
Sunday: Off
