Monday Mileage

I don't remember how I found it, but I recently downloaded the MapMyRun Trainer App (I'm currently technologically inept and only found the download option for the iPhone, but I'm feeling like it has to be available for the Android users, too.). I've decided to use this app to map out my training for the half marathon I've decided to run (why, I still haven't decided).

The app has 5 distances to pick from: 5k, 10k, Half Marathon, Full Marathon and a 50k Trail Ultra plan. And (I believe this to be true) each has various levels to pick from based on your "level" (beginner, intermediate and experienced).

Because my race is so many weeks out, the actual "training" hasn't begun, but it still gives me days to run, rest and strength train. I haven't completely followed the suggested schedule, but plan on switching to it next week after things have calmed down at work.

This week was kind of all over the place. And even though I haven't been going out for a lot of miles, those walks have been with Bandit with quite a bit of running. I'm trying to ease him back into it so he can join me on some of my runs. 

Monday: 2 mile walk, strength training
Tuesday: 2 mile walk/run
Wednesday: Off
Thursday: Off
Friday: 2 mile walk/run
Saturday: 1.6 mile walk, yoga class
Sunday: Off

Weekly Totals:  7.6 miles
